It includes Paypal, Bank accounts, YouTube, Website registration, social media, etc. There are lots of ways to secure a Gmail account online. It depends on audience usage.

Security Tips for Gmail

Gmail is arguably the best email service available today, and they work very hard to keep your account safe and protect your privacy. But scammers and hackers will still try to target you, so you need to use common sense and have good security habits. Here are 3 easy security tips for Gmail.

1. Create a Strong Password

You should have already created a strong password when we first set up your Gmail account, but if you haven’t, you should change it to something strong but easy for you to remember. A combination of upper-case letters, lower-case letters, numbers and special characters makes it practically impossible for even very sophisticated password cracking software to guess.

To change your password, start in your inbox and click on your email address in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

2. Sign Out of Your Account on Shared Computers

If you are using a public or shared computer, always sign out of your account before stepping away from the computer. You can learn how to do this in our article “How to Open and Close a Session in Gmail”.

3. Uncheck the “Stay signed in” box.

Similarly, when you log in to your Gmail account on a different computer, make sure this box is not checked.

How do you feel now! Secured! That’s good. Never compromise with your any online accounts let alone Gmail ID.
